Custom-made whitening trays are the most popular choice. The professional GO trays hold a stronger concentration and fit better than store-bought strips. A better fit means the gel stays in contact with the teeth and there is less sensitivity. You also keep some control over the color, since you can wear the trays more days or stop early.

The ZOOM light process happens here in our office. First we prepare the teeth and protect your lips and gums with a gel or a thin rubber shield. A special ZOOM light then activates the gel placed over the teeth. The whole process takes just over one hour, and you simply relax in the chair.

Some patients feel minor sensitivity to cold for a few hours afterward. It usually fades quickly. We suggest skipping coffee, tea and colored berries for the first couple of days. We can also provide a special toothpaste or a touch-up kit.

Whitening uses a mild bleaching agent, such as carbamide peroxide. It sits against the tooth and lifts stain out of the outer layer. The longer the gel stays in contact, the more consistent the result.
