If you are driving eighteen minutes with a child in the back, you want to know what the visit contains. Here is the order, start to finish.

What one visit
actually holds.

First, x-rays. They show what is happening below the gums and how the teeth and jaws are developing. Then a thorough exam of the cheeks, lips, tongue, gums and teeth, checking alignment, wear and decay.

Next the cleaning, done by the dentist or the hygienist. If there is a cavity we take care of it. We may place preventive sealants to protect the chewing surfaces of the back teeth while we are there.

Last is the teaching part. We show your child how to brush and floss, and we talk about nutrition and about avoiding sugary drinks and snacks. There is usually a small goodie basket on the way out. All of that fits in one appointment, which matters when the appointment is a round trip.

Nearly four miles of Ogden, past Nazareth Academy.
Ramp onto Route 83 south, then right onto 63rd Street.

Does it all happen in one visit?

An x-ray set, the exam, the cleaning and the brushing lesson all fit in one visit. If a cavity needs work we talk with you about when to do it.

What are sealants?

A preventive coating on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. They keep decay out of the deep grooves, and we can often clean those grooves first with air abrasion, without drilling or anesthetic.

Can we come on a Saturday?

Saturday hours are 8AM to 1PM by appointment. Wednesday runs 12PM to 8PM, which is the other easy one for a longer drive.

How long is the drive?

8.8 miles, about 18 minutes. Ogden Ave west, Route 83 south, then 63rd Street west to Williams.

Is children's care covered by our plan?

We are in-network with Delta Premier, and we will tell you what your plan covers before any major treatment.
