The most useful thing a phone call does is sort your problem into the right building. We ask what happened, what it looks like and how long it has been going on, and then we tell you where to go.

Uncontrolled bleeding belongs at an emergency room, and so does swelling that is affecting your breathing. A large cut to the face or a dislocated jaw means a medical doctor, not a dentist. We would rather send you to the right place in one minute than have you drive here first.

Everything else is ours. Toothaches, knocked out teeth, lost crowns and fillings, pressure or temperature sensitivity, swelling around a single tooth. We try to get true emergencies in that same day.

down Route 83.

4.6 miles, and the middle of it is one highway. Four moves total.

Leave the village center and take South Madison Street south.
Go west on 55th Street to the ramp for Route 83.
Follow Route 83, the Kingery Highway, south to 63rd Street.
Turn right, head west, and look for Williams just past Cass Ave.

If someone is driving you from the Hinsdale station, this is the same trip. It starts a block or two from the platform.

How do I know which one I need?

Call us at (630) 810-9940 and describe it. Bleeding you cannot control, or swelling that affects your breathing, means the emergency room. Almost everything else about a tooth is ours.

My jaw feels out of place after a fall.

That is a medical doctor, not a dental visit. The same goes for a large cut to the face. Get that looked at first and we will handle the teeth afterward.

How long will it take me to get there?

About 10 minutes from the village center in normal traffic, mostly Route 83 and 63rd Street. It is 4.6 miles by road.

My child has swelling around one tooth.

Call the office the same day. Swelling around a single tooth usually points to an infection that needs treating, and we will want to see it rather than guess over the phone.

Is there a late appointment if this happens at work?

Wednesday we see patients until 8PM. Saturday we are open 8AM to 1PM by appointment.

What if it turns out it could have waited?

That is fine, and it happens. A loose braces bracket or a small chip is usually ok to wait a few hours. We will tell you so and book you a proper appointment instead.
